Remarks: The famous "Gimli Glider" has just been retired from the Air Canada fleet. But before her last trip to MHV,under the call sign "Air Canada Glider, she had to say goodbye for a last time with an amazing fly-by and wing shake over runway 06R in front of the AC hangar. So long "Glider" you'll be missed for sure. This picture is also the 5000th picture taken at YUL on Jetphotos.net.

Au Revoir, you lovely aircraft! Your name will be kept and remembered in the history of aviation for sure!! I hope that you be exhibited in a museum, so that your legacy will live on! Buzu

Well what an aircraft. The only memory I have of it, was the one day I was out taking photos, and caught it. At the time, I didnt know the story behind it until I looked up the registration.

On the 24 of January I was en route to CYUL to take some photos when I heard the conversation between the tower and the pilot taking off for MHV too bad I didn't reach CYUL in time. Nevertheless nice photo Frederick.
