- Frankfurt Rhein-Main Int'l Airport - EDDF, Germany
After 60 years, on this day the US Air Force returned their land to FRAPORT in a big ceremony. This is the last regular C-17, receiving a water cannon salute. Parked at the military apron are all USAF aircraft which recently flew into FRA: Hercules, Starlifter, Galaxy, KC10, B707, and Globemaster. The Lufthansa 747 is the first German airliner to be parked on the military apron. Farewell US Troops, you made that airport special. C-17 captains words: "Thanks for 60 years of very good work, Globemaster C-17 is now out."
