As you can see in the picture we are climbing with the landing gear deployed. When the crew noticed that this image (combined with some strange noises coming from the undercarriage) was showing on the LCDs screens they shut them off but it was too late, everyone on board knew that something was wrong. After declared the emergency we were been flying over Spain for about 1 hour and then returned to LEMD where all the security system was alert and after a very hard landing several fire trucks surrounded just in case the issue was getting worst. But we continued on taxi to a remote parking to disembark and get back to the terminal building.
