Notes:

One of the three Sea Kings of ‘C’ Flight, 22 Sqn, stationed at RAF Valley, seen occupying the visiting aircraft apron on the north side of the airfield whilst their own base area is undergoing building work in preparation for the relocation of the RAF SAR force HQ from St Mawgan. XZ585 entered service in 1978 and is the oldest Sea King airframe in the RAF (it was subject to a Written Answer in Parliament to that effect in November 2001!) (400D, Sigma 28-300 & fluid-head tripod)
