Something about this photo, you just want to sit and stare. Good work. By the way did you wonder if the World Airways Captain is taking a photo of your ship? |

Thanks for the comment, Mike. Very glad you like it. -- While this shot was hard to get, a photo of my jet taken from the MD-11 would have been very, very difficult because of the lighting. Still, one can hope that they were trying. -- Orry |

Excellent shot, Orry! In a few days I will have a long-distance trip over the whole Eastern Europe. I'll make sure to keep my D80 closer to me- hope it will have some job! I'm looking forward to see some other pictures from you in the d-base. |

How did you flew over Iraq? I thought Iraq`s airspace is closed. I went from Vienna to Abu Dhabi last week and back yesterday and we had to go over Iran, while the shortest route is over Iraq. |

Hi Bostjan, Thanks for the comment. We were using the Iraq routes to/from the Persian Gulf earlier this year, but now my company is no longer using them. I think it was because of the high number of TCAS RA's with military aircraft that were occuring, but whatever the reason, I think most airlines are again avoiding Iraq. |

Such a beautiful shot Orry! You need shots like these where you could spend hours gazing at. |
