Fokker updated the venerable F-27 with modern engines and electronics and a redesigned cabin in 1983 as the Fokker 50, but production ended in 1996 when Fokker folded. They’re becoming rarer now, but Belgian regional Vlaamse Luchttransportmaatschappij (VLM) still has a fleet of 19. This one (named ‘City of Brussels’) is seen from Ringway’s aviation viewing park taxiing out to depart. (A tripod facilitated an 80th second exposure which blurred the propeller discs nicely.)
