Recovered from the seabed in 1995 and ten years on at a well advanced stage in its restoration by the Malta Aviation Museum. The Museum hopes to restore it to taxiing condition and the aircraft already has a working Merlin engine installed, the port wing being the only major item of reconstruction left. Clearly visible here are the holes in the main spar which accommodated the aircraft's armament of four machine-guns in each wing.
