- Miami Int'l Airport - KMIA, USA - Florida
During the month of October, Runway 09/27 at MIA was closed for resurfacing, resulting in a modified operation at the airport. This was most obvious during westerly operations. Aircraft that would have normally departed on Runway 27 were often shuffled over to Runway 30, which is rarely used for takeoffs under normal circumstances. The afternoon sun combined with a liftoff on 30 created a rare spectacular treat for us!
