When I came to HK the first time, I took 4 films - from the airport alone. Most was taken standing on the roof of a parking house next to the departure hall. Just found the films few days ago. They was taken in 1996. NONE came even close to this spectacular photo. It show so many things at the same time. Modern world and Old HK living, the airports crazy requirements to the pilots and the beauty of a Jumbo just "hanging" there. Amazing photo. Impressive photographer! Congratulations. |

Jesper, Thanks very much. I'm not a great photographer, I just know how to take planes !. You should see my family pics :-(

Tell your family to run around making engine noises and the photos should be brilliant! |

An amazing shot of the aircraft, Darryl. You should send a copy of it to Cathay Pacific for advertising purposes. (Make sure you charge them for it !!!) :-) |

Cathay, Pay, Money.... those are words that just don't go together. Thanks anyway :-) |

Wicked!! It looks like a shot out of a 3D movie or something. Imagine what it would have been like actually on the plane! Scary! |

Amazing photograph Daryl, truly impressive. It says so much about Hong Kong. I wish I had the chance to go and try capture some of the dramatic photo opportunities myself but alas, it is too late now of course. Congratulations on the perfect photograph. |

Daryl,
I just joined so I could post a comment on this shot although there will be more no doubt.
This outstanding view brings back all my fondest memories of Hong Kong, especially the Kai Tak Heart Attack approach. The framing is one-in-a-million. Congratulations! |

Now THIS is a one-in-a-million photo if I have ever seen one! Long live CX, long live DC, long live Spirit of Kai Tak! |

Hi !
This is AWESOME ! I have been looking for that kind of picture since
I was talking with some friends about the passing of Kai Tak. So it
was why I had to find a few pictures to show why this famous old
airport was dangerous and exciting ! Thanks !
