I hate to cause any disenchantment but if it’s not blood, then it’s most likely hydraulic fluid; considering that this plane is obviously being parted out. You also have a seat and a rolled up rug there to kneel down on to extract something. As he stood up, he got hydraulic fluid all over the wall, as he braced himself. Very sloppy and careless workmanship. Of course, who cares, except the person who might be looking to replace wall panels like those.
