It amazes me how some pilots will persist with a dangerous approach rather than going around. I hope this pilot was dealt with appropriately by his airline. |

This isn't funny for the people in the plane, but it's a great picture. |

There was just one runway at Kai Tak and they named it Runway 13. Is that bad fung shui or what? |

Ali, dont think they thought about that when they built the runway! |

On of the most flooky shots I've ever seen I think! Superb pic Daryl. |

Somehow I don't think number 13 is a bad number for the Chinese. |

i think Kai tak has got the worst runway ever to land... there are so many accident happening there. The cross wind is just terrible. But that airports makes such a good photos. |

Great shot Darlow! =D Michael- hundreds of pilots would have killed to fly that approach to runway 13!! |

There were so many dangerous landings happened at Kai Tak, but the worst one was China Airlines B744 overrun runway 13 and sank into the water, was it right? |
Posted by Daryl Chapman - The Hong Kong Spotters on July 14, 2006
The CI 744 was not the worst as everyone lived. The worst I remember was the CAAC Trident that crashed. |
