Remarks: Cabin view of the Lufthansa 747-400 that flew me from FRA-YYZ on this leg of my St Marteen trip. This is the one of the rear economy sections of Lufthansa's first 747. In between the meal courses i decided to come downstairs and explore the aircraft and stretch my legs a little bit. (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye)
Remarks: After a long and pleasureable flight in VS upper class our A346 makes its final approach over the city of London to 27L at LHR. This approach was possible due to a medical emergency and direct runway clearence for us! Visible here is the Millenium Wheel, Houses of Parliment, Battersea Power Station, Victoria Train Station, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, oh and two HUGE Rolls Royce engines that power this beauty! (10D/17-40F4L)
Remarks: After my long flight over the Atlantic ocean abroad N791AN i arrived into London Gatwick and had to make my way to passport control. Today i was brought into the new satellite at LGW's North Terminal and i had to make my way over the giant new footbridge. While i was up there i saw this Virgin 747 on tow being brought straight under neath which made for a perfect photo opportunity! Here is the result. (1dmkii/17-40F4L)
Remarks: This is the flight deck of the Boeing 777-300 that flew me from LGW-DXB on the first leg of my Ozzie trip! The captain was nice enough to let me into the cockpit to take some shots, he also was very kind enough to turn all of the lights on for me so that i could take this stunning image! Light levels were so low in the cockpit that i had to shoot at ISO1600 - 1/4sec - F2.8 on my 15mm Fisheye. Even this underexposed the image by nearly a stop! Very very dark! (1dmkii/15mmFisheye)
Remarks: Mid flight between LHR-ORD i grabbed this shot of the economy cabin of this AA772. With AA's current policy on photography onboard these photos are getting increasingly harder to get. Very comfy ride today, the MRTOC scheme is very good and is noticeably better than UA or CO's pitch. (10D/17-40F4L/ISO400/1-10th/F4)
Remarks: AA business section in atlantic config. Lovely comfortable seats on this bird. This flight was at the time the best flight of my life, it was my first time in a class higher than economy! (10D/15mmF2.8Fisheye/ISO400)
Remarks: Here we have a shot of the upper class section on a Virgin Atlantic 747-400. This is the part that is at the front of the upper deck on the 747. The upper class suite has 10 beds on the upper deck! Today i was sharing this aircraft with some celebs such as Green Day, Jameroquai and Ill Divo amongst others. The bonus of flying the day after the Brit Awards. (10D/15mmF2.8Fisheye)
Remarks: After the long flight from BKK we near SYD. The F class cabin of this 773ER was totally empty today bar myself and my father. I have to say that the new First Suites on Emirates are absolutely wonderful. The TV's are fantastic, the seat is comfy, the mini bar is very handy and the service is exquisite! I really did enjoy my flight on this aircraft. A big thanks goes out to the CSM on the flight that day, she was so very nice to myself and my dad during the flight. (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye/ISO 800)
Remarks: All i have to say is WOW! The new Boeing 777-300 ER is a fantastic aircraft to fly. This aircraft flew me BKK-SYD and it was just amazing, not only was i on a new aircraft but i got the double upgrade to F! Pics to come soon. This shot was taken as the cabin crew woke the economy cabin for breakfast. The aircraft has a lighting cycle that simulates the sunrise with lights rising in the same color a sunset would be! It is a fantastic thing to watch and to witness! (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye/ISO 1600)
Remarks: These are the seats of the older style premium economy cabin on VS. Currently Virgin are introducing new leather style premium economy seats on their A340-600's, the first aircraft with such seats is G-VWKD. This shot was taken during my flight LHR-NRT. MY seat was 18K for this flight, very compfy as the seat next to mine was empty as was most of the cabin, there was a load factor of 10/28 on todays flight. (1dmkii/15mmF2.8Fisheye/ISO640)
Remarks: This is my seat abroad this 747, Lufthansa's first they received. I was seated in the Exit Row of the first class section which is located on the upper deck on this aircraft. Lufthansa First Class is separated into four rows of 2-2 seating arrangement. While Lufthansa hasn't adopted the Suite format that most airlines have the seats and the service are fantastic in this cabin. I had a great flight and great service on this FRA-YYZ hop. (1dmkii/15mmF2.8Fisheye)
Remarks: Mid flight of my LGW-EWR flight abroad CO19 to EWR. This is the first section of economy on CO's 772's. The PTV's are a nice touch but standard on 772's these days, no AVOD but not bad. Flight was very empty today with about 50-60 free seats. (10D/17-40F4L)
Remarks: This is a cabin overview of the Upper Deck of this 747-400 which houses Lufthansa's First Class Section, where i was flying that day. As you can see the upper deck is very spacious with ample legroom and space around your seat. I was fortunate to be able to get the Exit Row on the left and have a spare seat next to me for the entire FRA-YYZ flight. This was shot just after the main meal service around 3 hours into the flight. (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye)
Remarks: Here is a full fisheye shot of the rear economy cabin onboard this Qantas 747. I was very surprised that the crew managed a full breakfast service during this very short SYD-MEL hop. The seats are very comfy and i imagine perfectly adequate for a long haul flight. It was a bit of a come down after arriving in EK F the day before! (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye)
Remarks: After a heavy night out in Brighton i deprted LGW with a raging hangover for my short flight over to Iceland. On departure while the weather wasn't great i did manage to snap this shot of the Gatwick ramp early in the morning. The low level fog is still hanging in the air and the ramp is fairly quiet. What i found particuarly interesting with this shot is the sheer amount of stuff that was around then that has gone now. A long line of Excell Airways Boeing's are present as is a Mytravel A330. All of which are no longer with us in the skies. (400D/17-40F4L)
