Remarks: (c/n 1635, YOB 2001) View of the flight deck include the very nice captain of my flight WZZ 161 Katowice-Dortmund on this Monday morning. In the background you can see the baggage-vehicles and the Mercedes Vito of "DHS Operations". Much thanks to the captain for this photo and the nice talk after flight.
Remarks: On display at the airfield of Opole. I am not very sure about the trueness of my statement about the type. If you have a better info please contact me.
Remarks: (c/n 17812, YOB 1957) Cabin view enroute circa 775 m MSL. The pilot of this fantastic flight was Alexander "Alex" Glauser, who I know for many years. Don't confuse with predecessor D-FONE (c/n 18118) which was destroyed by a fire.
Remarks: (c/n S-612) The story about this photo and this helicopter is very long, but I want to tell it you: In May '04 I visit the ILA '04 at SXF and spent the nights in the B&B Hotel in Genshagen south of Berlin. That hotel can you see in the right background of this photo. We wanted to see the hotel quickly on our tour to Poland. And suddenly I saw this heli again but it was stored next to cars on a parking area of an automobile repair shop. It's not a good position for this pretty helicopter :( Now the story of this heli: This helicopter was not registrated as N4573T at any time but it flew really for the air rescue division of the ADAC, namely with the reg. D-HOFF. But in 1999 (20th Nov.) the D-HOFF flew to a rescue flight to the federal highway B 71. There a car crash into it near Uelzen. It was complete destroyed and then stored at Bonn-Hangelar airfield a long time. Then the fire fighters of Berlin wanted to get a replicat of the former Berlin EMS-Heli "Christoph 31 Berlin", which was operated by Omniflight Airways Inc. from the USA, because between the WWII and the reunification of Germany only the ally's had got the right to fly over and in the west part of Berlin. So the a/c was owner and operate by the US company, but the doctor, ambulance man and all planning's was from the ADAC. For this reason the helicopter had to be reged in the USA. Then the ex. D-HOFF was rebuilt and get the c/s of the old "Christoph 31 Berlin". It should be positit on the roof a fire station in Berlin next to the hospital and old base of the original N4573T, but this helicopter came to the ILA area at SXF at first and then to that unworthy parking area in an industry park. Hope for a better future.
Remarks: (c/n 364, YOB 1993) Can you see the "Hurriyet", the national Turkey newspaper, in the cockpit ? The newspaper protects the cockpit and prevents a hot temperature there. Clever idea of the crew!
Remarks: (c/n S-612) Demonstrator of the air rescue divison of German's automobile club ADAC. Photo taken on the ILA 2004 - Berlin Air Show (static display). With "Omniflight Airways, Inc. USA" and "Christoph 31 Berlin" titles.
