Remarks: Hawarden airport has a long history of aircraft manufacturing which continues today, as wings for various Airbus types including the A380 are manufactured here. One of the Airbus A300-600ST 'Beluga' aircraft can be seen on one of the ramps
Remarks: This historic site has manufactured such aircraft as the Lancaster, Vulcan, Nimrod and later the BAe146/RJ100. Following the cancellation of the Nimrod MR4A project, Woodford ceased to be viable and closed on 25th August 2011
Remarks: One extreme to the other - private jet with a Ryanair 737 behind! An appropriate reg, as I was frozen stood in the viewing park on a very cold day; this aircraft is also owned by a supermarket chain which specialises in frozen goods, so doubly appropriate!
