Remarks: High over Borneo we encounter some amazing St Elmo's fire lighting up our flight deck windows. The radar in manual mode gives an apparant red display which is due to the normal auto filter function being turned off to help us find a smooth path through the weather. Totall amazing..
Remarks: A rather exciting lift off for this SQ 744 as it departs Rwy 25 for WSSS.The right wing got caught by a large gust causing the entire aircraft to roll ALOT on take off.As you can see the entire right outboard bogey is already airborne.EOS10D 100-400L

Remarks: High over the south coast of Borneo we run into some high cloud associated with the remains of some Indonesian thunderstorms. The end result is some amazing St Elmo's fire covering our windscreens from side to side.

Remarks: A terrible day at Narita. The smouldering remains of a Fedex MD-11 which crashed around an hour before while attempting to land in gusty conditions on Rwy 34L.

Remarks: 1/20th at 300mm blurr of Qantas 94 departing LAX for Melbourne and what used to be the longest return non stop service in the world..with some moisture in the air pouring over her wings a long flight through the night is ahead of over 6000nm.
