Remarks: The "Spirit of Kitty Hawk" N300SW was the first Boeing 737-300 to enter commercial service anywhere in thew world. Southwest Airlines has donated this aircraft to the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, TX. In this photo, she is being towed from the SWA Maintenance base, across the airfield to the museum. You'll see she is missing her CFM-56 engines, but display engines will be fitted before she is opened for permanent display.
Remarks: A Southwest Airlines aircraft given a special nose logo celebrating the merger with AirTran Airways. At a ceremony held today in Dallas, TX this plane was parked nose-to-nose with an AirTran plane wearing the same logo.
Remarks: Check out the first officer - he's taking a photo of our aircraft! I took this photo from seat 1F onboard Southwest 8500, a ferry flight that had just arrived from DAL to start Southwest's service to MKE.
