Remarks: This is a great location for spotting when aircraft are using R14. It is known as The Cemetery and it is directly opposite the R14 Threshold. Seen here is JP photographer Danny Jones watching the action.
Remarks: This 20ft high pile of road plainings is making a fantastic temporary spotting location .It is opposite the start of runway 23R and is perfect for morning shots with the sun behind you. Seen here is G-VLIP about to touch down.
Remarks: This spot is located on the beach halfway down the runway opposite the fire station .Where i was standing(on a boulder) is now the only place where you can shoot over the new fence along the beach side of the runway.
Remarks: This location on the southern perimeter is called Plain Tree Hill and from here you can see all of the stands on the terminal ramp and if you walk a little to the right you can see the biz on Multiflighs East apron. In this shot JP photographer David Blaker has found the perfect way of shooting over the fence. In the background is Jet2's new B737,8 G-GDFJ which is all white and yet to make its first revenue flight with the airline.
Remarks: This spot always draws the crowds ,just over the fence from the start of Runway 03. The promonade now follows the airport fence all the way to Playa Honda.
Remarks: This spot is located to the south of R32 and is directly opposite the threshold.It is about a 20 min' walk to get to this location from either direction .Very overgrown and very muddy .Here JP photographer David Blaker is in action.
Remarks: Along exposure of a Eastern JS41 and a BMI ERJ145 departing , the aircraft on approach was a Jet2 B733.Those with a keen eye can see N508QS on Multiflight and smoke rising from the power station in Castleford.
