Remarks: The first A-380 to land in the USA shares the JFK Terminal One Ramp with Korean 744 HL7472, with a 15 foot shorter tail, only minutes after arrival from FRA, operating as LH 8940 "Super". Instead of a "heavy" callsign it used the new "super" callsign to desiginate its large size and wake footprint !
Remarks: United 737-522 in line for departure on Runway 31 at LGA on the day after the first significant snow event of the 2006/2007 winter season in NYC. This is the first United aircraft in the new colors I have seen in such poor paint condition !
Remarks: Nice view of crowded Mid-Town Manhattan, New York City with the Empire State Building mid photo, the United Nations just behind the wing along the East River, and Madison Square Garden, round building, lower right of photo as seen inbound to Runway 22 at LGA. Above the river is a little bit of Queens and a lot of Brooklyn. I had sat in 7A all the way up from ILM but when I realized we would be coming up the Hudson I quickly switched to the only open "F" window seat and I sure am glad I did, nothing beats the "Great Approaches" into my home airport of LaGuardia !
Remarks: Great looking 42 year old Private 727 in line for departure on Runway 31 at LGA. Originally delivered in June 1964 to Lufthansa this olde girl has been photographed all over the world and she still looks great ! Check out the appearance of the wings and flaps!
Remarks: Rare photo with this short lived reg. most recently VP-BIF, this "Beautiful" 727 has only been operated as a corporate or private aircraft. It was the last 727-100 built (Aug.1971) and is rumored to be the lowest time -100 flying. She is seen here resting at 5 Towers at LGA, a close look under the aircraft will reveal another 727's landing gear, that's Trump's VP-BDJ ! Note the mint condition of the wing leading edge and engine cowlings ! Shortly after this photo was taken the reg was changed back to VP-BIF.
Remarks: Long time LGA regular visitor Boeing 31 Tango Romeo flares for touchdown on Runway 31 at LGA on a beautiful fall afternoon ! Although photographed in 2006, I chose this beauty for my first upload of 2007 !
Remarks: Cabin view of one of the first CRJ-200's for both Chautauqua and Continental Connection at LGA. The seats reflect this CRJ's former Independence Air heritage but with new, fresh light blue leather. This particiliar flight is actually operating for US Express to SDF, and soon service will begin for Continental Connection at CO's IAH hub !
Remarks: One of the first CRJ-200's for both Chautauqua and Continental Connection in line for departure on Runway 31 at LGA operating without not yet added titles and it's tail logo. This particiliar flight is actually operating for US Express to SDF.
Remarks: Air Canada 767-209ER touches down on Runway 31 at LGA replacing the scheduled A-319, always love those kind of upgrades! Originally B-1838 with China Airlines then ZK-NBH with Air New Zealand, now wearing a unique registration with AC !
Remarks: Air Canada 767-233ER in line for departure on Runway 13 at LGA replacing the scheduled A-319, always love those kind of upgrades! And a big thanks to LGA Ground Control for bringing this beauty way out of her way making this shot possible! And also thanks to Tom Alfano for the edit help.
Remarks: HP's Arizona Cardinals 757 heads for the 7L departure line in PHX probably in the final days of wearing this great scheme, which we may see again in the future.
