Remarks: A few days after having missed space shuttle Discovery's final launch, I was given a consolation of sorts. The "Buran carrier" on its way to BGR after picking up an oversized cargo from a private contractor.
My first time seeing this beautiful behemoth of an airplane. I was surprised that it took off from this runway and didn't use much of it to launch into the air.
