Remarks: Heavylift 420 slid off the end of Rwy 13 in a storm on Dec 18th, 1998. After being removed from the runway it sat in Gander for almost a year before the necesary repairs were made to fly it out.
Remarks: Landed in the early morning hours of Sept. 7th. Originally Qatar 052 bound from Dulles to Doha, it made an emergency diversion (reported over ATC comms as an engine out.) to CYQX. A Polet An124 would deliver a new engine on Sept. 9.
Remarks: BOE001 Heavy about to touch down on Rwy 31. This would the first time a 787 had landed in Canada. BOE001 would spend the weekend in Newfoundland conducting crosswind testing during an early spring snow storm.
Remarks: Caught during a fuel stop while enroute to the Cope Thunder Exercises in Alaska. This stop over concluded the IAF's first trans-oceanic in-flight refueling mission.
Remarks: Originally UAL 914, Dulles - Paris (CDG). This 777 diverted to CYQX on the evening of Sept. 19th. According to CADORS, while approaching 50N40W it declared an emergency due to an engine problem (indication of zero oil quantity in the port engine). A second 777, UAL9951 would arrive the next evening to take the passengers on to Paris.
