Remarks: Still with a Northwest registration, but repainted into the new Delta livery, bird 372 departs runway 08 on a warm, sunny afternoon. Shot dedicated to my grandpa who was, sadly, the cause of my trip that started a couple hours after this shot was taken. He passed away June 9.
Remarks: Picture perfect take-off from MUC rwy 26L. Deutschland uber alles! Shot dedicated to my grandpa who was, sadly, the cause of this trip. He passed away June 9.
Remarks: During a dust storm at Sky Harbor, a US Airways bird makes a go-around after aborting landing for 7R, while a US Airways CRJ taxies by on taxiway tango with a visible light trail. 80-sec exposure.
Remarks: Landing a few minutes before sunset on rwy 08 at Sky Harbor. About an hour later, a dust storm blew in and marked the beginning of a weeks worth of storms and rain in Phoenix. I'd like to dedicate this photo to my mom who gave up 5 hours of her Sunday to take me to the airport and pay for the parking too. :)
Remarks: Landing in very heavy fog on Rwy 10R in Portland with a vortex trail coming off the flaps. One of my favorite shots taken with my old Canon Powershot S5 before I switched to the Rebel XSi.
Remarks: 1/4000 shutter speed as the bright sun coming off the wing at FL340 nearly blinded me. :) Flying over SoCal enroute to San Jose. Kind of makes me feel like those wing-view-over-barren-China-landscape pictures. Note the nice reflection on the engine.
Remarks: 8:46 AM enroute PHX-SJC. The most amazing effect I have ever seen. As we were breaking through the rainy clouds, the sun created an upside-down rainbow off our wing. I'm still speechless...
