Remarks: Sure, it's an original livery but why do people always jump up and down for this airline? So I've heard from two New Yorkers, the airline has gorgeous FAs that they would like to make babies with ;-)
Remarks: Taken at the Dedication Ceremony at Hanger 3. Although at first I thought there was just too much white. I'm starting to love this livery, it looks great in person up close.
Remarks: What is this.. Heathrow?!?! "Speedbird 66" departs the Ramp at Spot 4 to join Taxiway Juliet westbound out to Runway 27L. While "Speedbird 69 Victor" having just landed and exited off 27R at Kilo 4 holds short of Tango to enter the Ramp after the T7 makes the right turn. Perfect timing at that!
Remarks: This aircraft turned 20 years old just 9 days prior to this photo! First delivered to Piedmont Airlines on May 21st 1987 and was named "Pride of Piedmont" registration N603P. Piedmont would subsequently start it's first International service between CLT-LGW on June 15th 1987. These aircraft are showing their age, yet they still somehow seem to be in their prime. I work with them everyday and I never have problems with them.
Remarks: "Speedbird 69 Victor" enters the Ramp at Spot 4 to head to Gate A17 just after "Speedbird 66" the daily Triple 7 pushed off the same gate and departed the Ramp. Looking beautiful in some Late Spring lighting!
Remarks: I have a personal connection with this aircraft. Being that 744P was the first aircraft I had ever marshalled into a gate by luck. Seen here exiting off of 27R at Kilo 4 and making a right on Juliet passing the A-East hammerhead to head to C Terminal.
Remarks: After a nice little day of Non-Reving around North Carolina and despite the hazy conditions; I was surprised to see the field pop up on my right side during departure. I think it is one of the coolest things to see the field while arriving or departing. Seen here we are climbing out on "US Air 1147" operated by N102UW direct to Flat Rock VOR to join the Dupont 4 Arrival into Philadelphia.
