Remarks: Emergency landing after hydraulic failure left Manchester closed for 2 hours, aircraft landed heavy bursting 2 tyres, the fire brigade can be seen cooling the overheated brakes. All the passengers and crew were evacuated on the runway to waiting buses before the tyres were changed and the aircraft towed off the runway.
Remarks: Festive livery on this 737, scan from an old print, taken from the old viewing area on Terminal 1, this aircraft actually had a different xmas livery on the other side which I will try to upload, shame about the weather.
Remarks: Heathrow snow diversions include Virgin A340, Air New Zealand 777, 2 BA 777's Delta 767 and Qatar A330, out of shot were Qatar 777, Cathay 747, Etihad 777 and US Air A330, wish MAN could get this sort of heavy metal everyday.....
Remarks: ATC reports to the pilot he has a smoking left under carriage after landing, he is advised to stay put and the firebrigade attends, in all 6 fire engines race to the scene.
