Remarks: Hectic and busy as it was, all that stress just flew away into the Snohomish air after those doors opened up to reveal the Dreamliner fresh at its best. The Trent 1000's with their wavy fan design will be one of many to prove its effectiveness in reducing carbon footprint on our planet.
Currently shes in the hangar undergoing systems installation and won't come out until the first ground tests.
Remarks: A view from the cockpit shows a neat assortment of people. From the two bulky capped men to the headless photographer and finally to the far left, lest we not forget our attraction to the female sex such as this eye catching woman who has made excellent use of the color Pink. Oh and a view of the overhead panel.
Remarks: After the last of the vice presidents baggage are unloaded, shes towed to a parking stand with security looking after the plane. As I continued my drive over the mountain pass I was able to spot this plane from as far as 20miles away from an overlook. The views are simply endless in this place.
Remarks: The 787 testbed aircraft with the first ever Trent 1000 engine. Its very large and very hungry when injected with fuel. At the same time, very quiet and well mannered to make life easier for its mechanics. Weighs about 12000lbs.
Remarks: This glider is as graceful as it is beautiful. The pilot of this sailplane is Manfred Radius and his demonstrations at the shows usually stun the crowd with amazing soaring capabilities. I also love the relaxing music thats played such for this act: Piano Concerto No.21 -Second Movement by W.A Mozart.
In this shot Radius just missed cutting the ribbon with his wing by a few inches.
Remarks: Overlooking the B terminal and its occupied gates during this foggy night. Hours earlier, there was a record breaking storm that wreaked havoc in the Spokane area resulting in gale force winds which knocked down trees and power.
Remarks: No forest fires to drop its load on at this time of the year. Maybe its use can be to support city fire crews of dosing out fires from houses and businesses.
Remarks: Aircraft is here for the annual Aviation Days at the airport. The two pilots here are actually Zip Pilots who also happen to contribute to the thousands of traffic hits to this website everyday. Full permission has been received for me to upload this pic
Remarks: At times, this place looks more like Manchester Ringway minus all that snow. MON368 to MAN currently departing and Mon336 to LGW 10 minutes later taxing out.
