Remarks: If you like Chicago, you should like this picture at 1500 pixels wide. Below all the skyscrapers of downtown can be seen, most notably Sears Tower. You can also see the John Hancock Center. What an awesome city. This shot was taken on Southwest 1288 LAX-MDW-MHT.
Remarks: The 747-300 is fairly rare at LAX. I was happy to see this Southern Air cargo bird cross the buildings of Century Blvd. and glide down to 24R. So was the photographer on the runway.
Remarks: This is the type of shot that can be attained with 700mm on a 1.6x crop body. A United flight departs while 'Aeroflot 321 Heavy' lands from SVO.
Remarks: A busy night at TBIT is under way with Pacific traffic dominating the scene. In front a Qantas 747 with 'Come Play' titles for a World Cup bid is getting towed to the gate. Behind that a Cathay Pacific 777-300 sits at the gate and another 777-300 from EVA has already pushed and is starting up the engines for taxi.
