Part of an SAR exercise here at YYC this weekend, this was a welcomed sight!! Notice how "advanced" these SAR aircraft are compared to the Canadian ones, as this even has a FLIR pod under the nos... (more)
Mark McWhirter and Chris Sands and I luckily got to see 2 of these this day. A final test flight before paint??? And I wonder who the new buyer is....
A very nice new scheme indeed!! Just starting "taxi practice" after doing an engine run up, and this was my first sighting in YYC of a new schemed UPS..what a day!!
A nice closeup front view of the engine intakes and the nose.
WOW! I haven't seen this since I was a lad back in the U.K. about 20 years ago..they were NEW then...lol
Nice rare sighting at YYC...
Beautiful tail art on this F18 of the 416 "Lynx" Sqn. This also sported "The City Of Oshawa" along the aircraft's spine.
"Canforce 2132" taxis to Shell on Alpha...now with this old Grey/Grey/Green schemed Herc here, there were 18 military aircraft at Shell. WOOHOOO!!
A "nose on" shot of the hornet...
This is one of 2 hornets that were parked at Shell for the weekend. They did a "fly by" at the Labor Day Classic CFL Football game between the Edmonton Eskimos, and the Calgary Stampeders.
Another nice little jet
Nice scheme, nice little jet.
"Tanker 275" on takeoff roll, powered up...very short take off distance req'd for these 215's.
"Tanker 276" moving into position on RWY 28.
First visit to YYC for ANA - Chartered in from Tokyo. One of 3 charters over the next week.
