Remarks: (1600 pix) Konak turns for gate C13 after arriving from Istanbul as TK66. She is adorned with Istanbul 2020 decals supporting Turkey's bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.
Remarks: PR's 77W smokes upon touchdown. PR511 sees an unscheduled upgauge to a 77W today and she sails in, delighting me as I track her through my lens.
Remarks: BA sends her 77W to SIN for the first time today. This is on the BA15/16 service and it is her newest 77W that does the honours on this April Fools' Day. The 77W replaces the 744 that had in turn replaced the 772 used on this route. Please pardon the lighting for the rain has just stopped.
Remarks: JQ8 arrives from Beijing in the early morning. She inherits the registration of the venerable Qantas B742 City of Bunbury who now resides at Longreach.
Remarks:Reginald crosses the channel on her approach to runway 20R. This is the first time that I have seen an aircraft bearing the name Ansett making an appearance in SIN.
Remarks: (1200 pix) Bert overflies Changi Beach on approach to runway 20R with starboard strobe blazing. She follows her diminutive sister, Kangaroo Island, the One World liveried A332, which has just landed from Toulouse on her delivery flight. Hallelujah!
Remarks: EK354 from Dubai overflies Changi Business Park with the port strobe aglow as she descends towards runway 02L. She sports a brand new Expo 2020 Candidate City sticker on her nose.
Remarks: (1200 pix) 3K535 pushes back from gate C16 for Phuket on the second day of the Lunar New Year. This is the maiden flight for this spanking new A320, the first one with sharklets for 3K. The frame also bears the distinction of being the first A320 on the Singapore civil aircraft register to be fitted with sharklets. Thanks, JP, for accepting this hot photo.
Remarks: Cathay pushes back for her early evening flight to Hong Kong. Behind her, JAL's special liveried B787 taxis past along North Cross 2 after arriving from Tokyo as JL719.
Remarks: (1200 pix) This beautiful Dreamliner operating JL712 turns out for the taxiway with anti collision beacon lit. She is on her way to the active for departure to Narita. For now the Dreamliners remain grounded but they will surely return to revenue service again someday. This is my 500th photo on JP so I would like to thank the JP screeners and all who have spent time on my photos. Hallelujah!
Remarks: BR225, operated by this A332 in the Hello Kitty 'Happy Music Time' special livery, arrives from Taipei. The morning approach to 20R allowed me the chance to photograph her port side without severe backlighting issues and this is the best angle where none of the artwork is blocked.
