Remarks: This F-16B got a new lease on life as a chase ship after a stint at AMARC where it was kept on 'engine run only' status following a failed deal with the Pakistan Air Force. The towns of Squirrel Mountain Valley to the left and South Lake to the right on the shores of Isabella Lake are seen below. Photo taken with permission and reviewed by F-22 CTF Security.
Remarks: Some mountains, an F-16D, and an F-22A...just another day at the office. 4006 slides aft to top off enroute to Edwards AFB after a successful test flight. Photo taken with permission and reviewed by F-22 CTF Security.
Remarks: A photography ship in the form of an F-16D is along for today's test flight. Note the back seater, an official flight test photographer: he's snapping a picture of me with his EOS-1D Mk II with a 17-40mm f/4.0L lens! Photo taken with permission and reviewed by F-22 CTF Security.
Remarks: Part of the Peace Gate III deal with Pakistan, tail 0952 was embargoed after the sale due to Pakistan's refusal to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. This tail along with 4 sister B models were then stored for several years at AMARC in AZ. 0952 was brought to Edwards AFB in 2003, and on this day, serves as a chase ship during an F-22 test flight. Seems a shame to have an empty back seat like that! Photo taken with permission and reviewed by F-22 CTF Security.
Remarks: America's premiere fighter gets a mid-mission top off during another test flight from one of America's oldest, the venerable KC-135R. Seen below is Tehachapi Municipal Airport (KTSP). Photo taken with permission and reviewed by F-22A CTF Security.
Remarks: After striking a bird during a touch and go, 40-118 waits on the MidAmerica side for qualified maintenance to clear the plane to fly to the Scott AFB side (Taxiway G between the two runways was closed).
