Remarks: This 208 Sqn Hawk is seen some way into what is now known in the RAF as Depth Maintenance at RAF Valley under the new BAE Systems Hawk Integrated Operational Support Contract (HIOS). Having had the tail removed, it has been moved outside Gaydon Hangar to clear the way for the Sea Kings of ‘C’-Flight, 22 Sqn, to be extricated for the day’s flying. They are sharing Gaydon Hangar pending construction of the new SAR headquarters. (400D, Sigma 28-300 & tripod)
