Remarks: For a moment I thought this was Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok instead of Changi. CX739 operated by an A333 today (B-LAM) seen here parked at gate D32 coincidentally, her sistership (B-HNI) is parked alongside her at gate D34 after completing flight CX713 from Hong Kong via Bangkok. Remarks: A flashback to the original Terminal 1 departures level complete with the huge flight board and 4-story high fountain, which were the signature landmarks of Changi's oldest terminal until the renovation in 2009. [1200px.]
Remarks: A last-minute burst of sunlight bathes Terminal 1's D-gate ramp in a bright orange hue just before nightfall; coupled with the faint rainbow in the left corner this was definitely a beautiful and unexpected end to a dreary rain-filled afternoon!
Remarks: Pictured is the iconic Singapore Tower and the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Rooms at the rear floor 9 series have great views across the runway and taxiways.
Remarks: Changi's Terminal 1 pictured shortly after the conclusion of a 4-year long renovation project, making this 31-year old terminal feel like it was built yesterday!
Remarks: The advent of the low cost carriers at Changi has certainly quickened the pace of things. Two LCC A320s can be seen following each other closely along North Cross 3 with a third LCC A320 waiting to get on the same taxiway.
