Remarks: Air Queensland Swearingen SA226-TC Metro II VH-BPG Cn TC-287 awaits transit passengers at night under lights at Maroochydore Airport in Mar 1982. Air Queensland operated regional Queensland air routes for Ansett airlines at that time. I had flown from Bundaberg to Maroochydore in this aircraft (0.6 hours), and the night hop to Old Eagle Farm Brisbane took 0.3 hours. This aircraft was Built in 1979, and Delivered to Bush Pilot Airways (BPA) ex N5657M, before BPA became Air Queensland. Re-Registered as VH-WGV and operated by Kendell Airlines May 1986 to May 1994. Transferred to Avtex Air Services Bankstown NSW in Aug 2005. (The Registration VH-BPG was later allocated to ex-Polish Air Force MiG-15UTI Code 607.) Low res photo.
