Remarks: This aircraft overrun the runway at this very airport eight days after this shot was taken. 199 souls were lost in the accident, 187 onboard the aircraft and 12 on the ground. RIP.
Remarks: Crashed after overrun runway 35L of Congonhas Intl Airport of Sao Paulo in July 17th 2007; the plane skidded off runway, flew over Washington Luiz avenue and crashed into TAM Express building and a gas station. The collision was followed by an explosion which made a crimson and sad red rainy night. The plane burned to the end and all passengers died due fire and the building collapsed. No lesson was learned by brazilian civil aviation authorities since PR-GTD's mid-air collision in September 2006 and that's the price: 199 lives stupidly lost. R.I.P.
Remarks: Unfortunitly the MBK hasn't no more than 7 mounths of flights in Brazil. The crash happened at São Paulo Congonhas under moderate rain. The main cause in debate is the low safety for landing of runway that was under repair and still without grooving. Unsuccessfully the Captain couldn't stop the aircraft at time and coming down at TAM Express building, few yards from rwy 17.
