Remarks: Parked on the ramp at Yelahanka Air Force Station during Aero India 2009. The Omega tanker always comes to Aero India in a support role for the F-18 Super Hornets that come to participate in the air show.
Remarks: Very glad to get a nice side-on shot of this one. Omega is a civilian company who sells services to various militaries. This DC-10 has been fitted out as an air-to-air refuelling aircraft. The missile-looking pod under the wing is where the hose can be extended for connection to other aircraft.

Remarks: I wonder why this bird comes to Aero India. As in 2009, it was parked in the static display area, the doors were not open, no tour inside the plane and there was no one from Omega around the aircraft.
