Remarks: The stored B720 parked up on Apron 5, whilst Air Malta's 9H-ADZ (A320 without KM's blue stripes on the fuselage) glides in on short finals for runway 14, in the background.
Remarks: Close-up of the left main-undercarriage of this classic B720, which has been stored in Malta since 2004. Judging by the state which it is in, it seems highly unlikely that this aircraft will ever be returned to active service.
Remarks: Malta has been the transit-stop place for quite some interesting planes, like this medium range narrowbody airliner which is considered as the last B720 in service still parked at Malta International Airport since 11-Mar-2004.
Remarks: Seen after a heavy thunderstorm passed over Malta a few hours ago!!This plane is in VIP configuration.Stored at Malta since 11-3-03.The operator has also P4-NJR B720B(Stored at Lebanon) and P4-YJR all in VIP Config.
Remarks: cn: 18451/307. Malta has been the transit-stop place for quite some interesting planes, like this medium range narrowbody airliner which is considered as the last B720 in service! * The early days... seen from the spotters wall, on its arrival in bad weather conditions. Was at Park 4 since that day 11-Mar-2004, on a long term parking area at Malta International Airport till 22-Sep-2004 as it was towed to Park 5 due to Malta International Airshow. [Production: Between 1959 and 1969 Boeing built 65 720s and 89 720Bs (many 720s were converted to 720Bs). One in commercial service in Africa, three others used as corporate transports.]
