Remarks: Another surprise at Tenerife. On this occasion, Omni Air International in a flight from Minneapolis to Botswana with a technical stop in Tenerife South.
Remarks: Technical stop on its flight from CKY to PIK. Unfortunately, the proposed stop of Antonov 225, was canceled days before its arrival at Tenerife.
Remarks: New point for spotting at Tenerife South. It is located on the south side, right in front of the control tower, and out RWY 08, by B4... Very good all morning also for rotations. It is like the old mini-mountain that was before they expanded the safety width of RWY years ago. Here we can see several spotters having fun on the first day of the year.
Remarks: Due to the controllers' strike since the previous evening enacted without notice, the Spanish airspace was closed and thousands of planes were grounded. This is a picture of part of the platform of Tenerife South airport. Never seen so many planes together in this place, even in better times.
