Remarks: Once a proud competitor for the Boeing 737 and the DC-9, the Mercure ended up being too short-ranged for massive sales and only 10 units were ordered by Air Inter. This is one of the few remaining units, stored in Bordeaux.
Remarks: Given by Air France to the students of engineering and aircraft maintenance institute, the aircraft is resting here for her last days. Very nice to have this thought, I'm not sure this is common to have a real liner for studies!
Remarks: c/n 9 - Used as an instructional airframe near the SOGERMA center... I was been very lucky this day to have make it because normally it is not possible... The weather makes it not a good painting :-(
Remarks: C/n 9 - Wearing always the last Air Inter c/s it is also stored at BOD without engines. This Mercure was been used for ground instruction by the airport firemen... The interor in completed fired :-/ The Caravelle near it (see my other picture) was also used by them... Now, if you can go to BOD, you can see it nearly the SOGERMA Center, where you could make any quick pictures, but impossible to make because it is parked in the interior of a firm... Maybe if you ask people of it you should be make a picture... but BOD is so hard to make pictures due to the Air Force Base and Dassault production lines !!! Be careful with the authorities ;-) First pic of it in JP.net database ;-)
