Remarks: TF30-P-3 engine with 12,000 lbf (53 kN) dry and 18,500 lbf (82 kN) afterburning thrust and "Triple Plow I" variable intakes, providing a maximum speed of Mach 2.3 (1,450 mph, 2,300 km/h) at altitude. The variant had a maximum takeoff weight of 92,500 lb (42,000 kg) and an empty weight of 45,200 lb (20,500 kg).
Remarks:This is the moment that called for all RAAF F-111's to be grounded as you can see fuel leaking out of the right hand side. Moments after its next fly past one of the engines was swtiched off therefore had to cancel its display for the rest of the Airshow. Such a sad end to an amazing aircraft. [Canon 50D]
Remarks: (Del 7/73) after performing a fly past as part of Australia Day 2010 celebrations this dual tanked "Pig" is powering into a left hand turn overhead the inner suburbs of Brisbane to track directly home to RAAF Amberley. The aircraft was operating with the callsign "Savage 1".
Remarks: Whoa!!! this F-111 flew in very low and very fast buzzing the rooftops and catching some of the the spectators off guard at Indy Fever 2005 Gold Coast Australia!
