Remarks: How low can you go??? Under an obnoxiously ill-timed single cloud, this Falcon 50 skims Maho Beach mere feet above the heads of shocked beachgoers. Never a dull moment at SXM!
Remarks: 18° 2'18.32"N 63° 7'13.04"W, for those who don't know this place (-; One of my first photos at Maho Beach. ...and somewhat disappointing. But hey, it's a realy nice party of aviation enthusiast with nice caribbean music and a very enjoyable mojito in your hand. And latest at 4 o'clock all the cruiseship tourists are leaving with the "taxi to ship" and the beach is getting peaceful again. PJ-WIS is waiting for takeoff clearance very close to the fence.
Remarks: My 1st ever catch of the Airbus 340-600 & the "Prettiest" bird in the sky taxies to its gate having arrived from LHR! I dedicate this picture to my friend, Vishal Jolapara, who like me, is in love with this bird! I would be sad when the few remaining airlines phase out the A340 in the next decade! I had hoped for this to be my 150th pic on JP!
Remarks: KLM 785 from Amsterdam, operated today by the City of Hong Kong, glides over a (very) overcrowded Maho Beach, catching a burst of sunlight on an otherwise fairly cloudy afternoon. Six cruise ships called at the port of St. Maarten on this Tuesday, and watching the action at "The Princess" is one of the most popular activities for ship passengers on the island; in fact, a bus delivering another load of "spotters for the day" can be seen arriving in the background.
Remarks: A busy Saturday morning at LAX, with KAL A380 HL7619 having just parked while Air China's B777 B-2089 is on the taxiway, having just landed (1280x960 pixels).
