Remarks: Two staples of Alaskan aviation take to the skies simultaneously as an Everts DC-6 thunders into the air off runway 32, while one of the literally thousands of seaplanes based at nearby Lake Hood climbs away from a West departure on a glorious autumn afternoon in Anchorage.

Remarks: The palms are swaying, the waters are brilliant crystal blue, and the sun is warm on another gorgeous afternoon on St. Maarten as United's weekly service from Chicago is about to land on runway 09.
Remarks: A wide angle view shows the semi-official (and very popular) Shenzhen spotting area as the daily FedEx MD-11 from Anchorage rolls out on runway 15. The sea wall and adjacent perimeter road provide a great vantage point for photography all along the west boundary of the airfield!
