Remarks: Crossing the active arrivals runway at Manchester, 23R, at the Foxtrot intersection, on our way to the hold for departure off 23L. The famous angle of 23R can already be seen from this point as we look towards the threshold end, with the Airport Hotel pub just above and to the right of the wing tip, and the Pennines in the background.
Remarks: On the journey to Zakynthos, Greece, we overflew the Alps and got some very clear views. This area of the Alps is only a few minutes flight time from Venice, Italy.
