Remarks: The brute force hanging under the A340-600's 4,704 square feet of wing is enough to make anyone think twice. Somehow, though, the two Iberian pilots up front - along with the Cathay and Virgin crews at other times of the day - are able to ease this beastly machine into the dramatic left turn in accordance with the Kennedy 9 SID. You see? You can be as strong as you want, but you still have to follow the rules. ;-)
Remarks: This was one of the best departures of the day...nothing like the sheer thrill of being UNDER the world's longest airliner. Crazy thought, isn't it?
