Remarks: “Great Zimbabwe” was manufactured in 1987, first flight on June 11, delivered to Air Zimbabwe on June 23. In April 1994 – when this photo was taken – Air Zimbabwe was operating with two 767-2N0(ER) (Z-WPE, -WPF), a BAe-146 200 (Z-WPD) and three Boeing 737-2N0(Adv) types (Z-WPA, -WPB and -WPC), from which -WPA was on lease to Uganda Airlines. According to my best knowledge is still active. Scanned from an old slide.
Remarks: I didn’t mean it serious, sorry for the quality! I just shattered my lens before this shot, so I just had a fix 100 mm EF macro at the spot, this is why I did not have the opportunity to go closer, avoiding the barrier this way. I just couldn’t let her go away without a smile. Manufactured 1987 for Midway Airlines as N724ML. Served Air Namibia between May 1991 and October 2006, for a short time in the previous Namib Air livery, seen here on the picture. November 2006 to Safair (ZS-ANA), and since September 2007 she serves Canadian civil aviation: Canadian North (C-GCNO) until December 2011, and nowadays at First Air (C-GNDF). First in database in this appearance, scanned from an old slide.
