This was the first "H" version of the B-52 built. It entered service on May 9th 1961. The main difference between this and previous B-52s is the addition of turbofan engines.

This plane was built by Douglas as a subcontractor to Boeing. When it was retired and flown here in the mid 1970s it was the last operational B-47.
