Remarks: Malév Hungarian Airlines (Hungarian: Magyar Légiközlekedési Vállalat, abbreviated Malév), was the flag carrier and principal airline of Hungary between 1946 and 2012. The company's official founding date was 29 March 1946 when the Hungarian-Soviet Civil Air Transport Joint Stock Company (Magyar-Szovjet Légiforgalmi Rt. also known as Maszovlet) was formed. On 25 November 1956, Hungary acquired all the Soviet shares of Maszovlet, and Malév was born. On the 3rd of February 2012, Malév ceased all flight activity after 66 years of continuous operation. Remarks: Spanair was set up as a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines and Viajes Marsans The airline was established in December 1986 and began operations in March 1988. Spanair ended operations on 27 January 2012. Spanair 1986-2012 RIP
Remarks: Taken in the last of the days light. I was lucky to see this aircraft in this livery, as Thai Cargo had ceased operations a couple of weeks before my visit to Frankfurt.
