Remarks:Link 425 on descent into NPE from AKL with Hawke's Bay in view as well as the Napier-Taupo road below. This was my first turboprop flight and additionally I logged my 100th hour of flying at the end of this journey! Taken from seat 11A.
Remarks:New Zealand 638 in the awesome All Blacks scheme turning off her engines after arrival from Queenstown with chocks being put in place. I was stoked when this rocked up and parked right in front of me allowing me to shoot it to my heart's content! [1400px]
Remarks:New Zealand 527 going for a walk and heading to Christchurch in the early afternoon. I flew on this way back in 2002 when it was with Freedom Air! It's great to see that it's still going strong.
Remarks:New Zealand 136 BNE-AKL on climb out over Moreton Bay on our departure track to SCOTT. This was my first 777 flight however it was meant to be a 747 before an aircraft change. :( Taken from seat 59A.
Remarks: Three different aircraft in NZ's fleet in the very early morning with the 77W completing its long flight from LAX, the A320 preparing for a Trans-Tasman hop and the B733 doing another domestic run.
Remarks:Dunedin getting towed to bay 2 for the long flight to SFO close to sunset with a company A320 taxiing behind. I was meant to fly her BNE-AKL that day; however, the flight got changed to a 772 and she was sent to SYD instead. I'm still glad to get a shot of one of the two remaining 747s in the NZ fleet.
Remarks: Emirates' first A380 taxis out to RWY23L in the late afternoon for departure to Sydney and Dubai as Emirates 413. Little did the crew and passengers know they would be diverted to Melbourne due to high winds in Sydney.
Remarks:Charles Upham being towed to the disconnect point bound for Melbourne as Qantas 134. The vantage point at the Auckland International Terminal is great for closeups like this.
