Avianca have not had their A330s for long but already they are being withdrawn from service as they are replaced by new 787s.
I am biased I guess as this is my home airport but I have to say that in summer when the light and weather are right, the shots are pretty hard to beat elsewhere.
The first commercial flight of a Cathay Pacific A350 lines up on runway 25L bound for Manila as CX907.
One of many long haul 777-300ERs you can see at LAX every day.
I just love this angle on the 777-300ER. The light makes it even better!
A very fine looking business jet on short finals to runway 24R.
Nice to see the Singapore A350s here in Hong Kong even if it was only for about two weeks!
Two of my colleagues blasting off for Mexico. Always brings a smile to my face seeing a Cathay aircraft overseas.
In the golden light of the setting sun, this new wingletted 737 blasts off runway 25R.
I have my doubt as to whether any of these in the photo will fly again...sadly.
Another sunny day, another pic of a heavy cargo plane taking off from runway 07R in Hong Kong
I used to see this great aircraft all the time in Hong Kong. Sad to see it now stored here, unlikely to ever fly again.
We actually don't get many longhaul 747-400 passenger flights to Hong Kong anymore. Instead it is 777s galore with a few 787s thrown in for good measure.
Taxying in the dusk light. I've yet to see a 787 in an ugly scheme!
A bit of duct tape and she'll be fine!
