Short finals for runway 25L. In the background you can see the SkyDeck which is the roof-top spectators area. You can see all the telescopes set up for use.
Ex-G-GSSE of Global Supply Systems, now flying for Polar doing DHL flights in this hybrid livery.
Starting a missed approach just as they approach the threshold of runway 25L on an early morning test flight.
The best time of day for photos with the gorgeous golden afternoon light. The deep "canyon blue" colour scheme of this Southwest looks particularly good in this light I think.
Most definately one of the best looking 7373s out there I think!
Air New Zealand are now associated with the Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit movie series and as a result we have these great aircraft to see. The detail in these decals is pretty amazing.
I love all these special schemes that Alaska Airlines does.
One of the purpose-built freighters Cathay operates which will be retired in the coming year or so, although the latest improvement in the freight market has delayed retirement.
The Hong Kong summer has arrived and what great weather to try out a new lens. The sharpness is so far very impressive!
Blasting off to Bangkok in the nice afternoon sunlight. In the background, Tung Chung town. I live in one of the apartment blocks there.
The summer light has arrived in Hong Kong and my photography season begins!!

In this great light, the Air Canada scheme almost looks nice!....almost. Seen here on May Day, in the flare for landing runway 24L.
The huge A380 just dwarfs the 737 which is almost completely hidden behind it.
Skippy with boxing gloves on.
