Remarks: Operated by BAE Systems Warton as part of their Trials Fleet. One of the two prototype GR4's to wear this gloss grey/green camo scheme with 'GR4' logo. Currently carrying out trials of the Terma IR Self-Protection System, carried on the outer pylon port wing.
Remarks: Landing at Farnborough after being demonstrated at the 1978 Farnborough Air Show. This aircraft was the third prototype and the first Tornado with dual controls first flown August 5th 1975. At the time it was still around two years before the Tornado GR1 (RAF designation) would enter service.
