Remarks: A well remebered night at EPWR. Because of the fog at EPKT, EPWA and EPKK, many flights were diverted to Wroclaw, and many of them stayed overnight.
Remarks: Newest addition to FR fleet! First manufacturers flight 2009.01.08. Delivery date to Ryanair - 2009.01.23. I was so lucky to be on board, only five days later! Looks, shines and smells completely new :) Shot taken after flight FR114 from EIDW-EGKK.
Remarks: Spotters from Wroclaw - Slawek, Jarek and Marcin are trying to take the best possible shot of the W6 A320. This spotting location is situated at the east car park, and it's excellent for capturing planes on Taxiway Bravo. They are really close!
Remarks: Fire brigade gives this WizzAir HA-LPW water salute to celebrate the opening of it's base in Wroclaw-Strachowice airport today. It will enable links to Bergamo, Cork, Doncaster-Sheffield, Eindhoven, Forli and continue to serve Dortmund, Paris-Beauvais, Oslo-Torp and London-Luton.
Remarks: First ever El Al flight to WRO (operated for Sun D'or charter flights to TLV), and also first ever commercial Boeing 737-700 series aircraft in WRO.
Remarks: It is the last photo i took during the time i was still working at the Wroclaw Airport. I dedicate that picture to people (especially co-workers, aviation enthusiasts and spotters) that meant good and positively inspired me while working there. Knowing you was a priviledge! In the photo you can see mighty An-124 (flight VDA7589 for BOJ / LBBG) taxiing for departure from runway 29 . This massive, loud and powerful plane became an icon here at EPWR. It was a great pleasure for me watching him coming over and over again. It is my first photo at 1600 px.
Remarks: This C-17A was involved in todays incident - shortly after takeoff from EPWR the crew noted the leak from the aircraft and turned back for emergency landing, which was assisted by the fire brigade.
