Remarks: This little oil patch airstrip is on an island in the southeastern corner of the Persian Gulf. Nothing but sand, surf, and about a billion barrels of oil.
Remarks: Dawn over the North Atlantic at 39000ft on track XRAY. I didn't have a stack of ND filters handy, so I shot through the aircraft's dark amber windscreen sunshade. Later, using Photoshop, I dialed down the color temprature until the sky looked correct. The halo on the sun is due to the sun shining UP thru the clouds. There's also a bit of lens flare - mainly because of the sun visor and windscreen. Sorry about that.
