Remarks: Beautiful old lady on display at Gatow. Gatow is a former RAF station, played a part in the Berlin Airlift and is now a Luftwaffenmuseum. A great lot of aircraft are on display, you can walk around for hours. And the best is, it is for free :-)
Remarks: The terrace of the restaurant at the airport Güttin on the German isle Rügen gives a clear view on the parked a/c and runway. A good place to watch small props. The terrace faces the south. Therefore, the best time for photography is the morning, when the sun in still the east. Also a nice place for bird spotters, as occasionally some cranes will fly over. Location coordinates 54° 23′ 4″ N, 13° 19′ 30″ E
Remarks: Displayed in the Eisenbahn- und Technikmuseum Rügen, located in an old railway station (Prora). This MiG was operated by the East German Air Force and served from April 1974 to Sept 1980. On Sept 05 1980 it had an accident (no fatalities) and became damaged beyond repair.
